We are a family-friendly resort. We have no waves on our beach and the water is above 80 degrees most of the year, so it is a great place for kids (at least those too young to surf). We also have a complete set of cribs, kids toys, strollers, etc. In terms of environmental awareness, we buy locally whenever possible, and have actually built a number of our eating structures using logs we found washed up on the beach. Our island is very primitive, so we are among the very few people on the island who speak English, but the local population, particularly the children, are very friendly and enjoy trying to learn English. Koh Siboya is home to about 400 people total, most of whom fish or catch shrimp for a living. |
