I'd definitely recommend Jim's Lodge. It's fairly close to the Sky Train (5 mins walk) and in an area without much traffic. The room was spotless but this was the cheapest hotel we stayed at in a 3 week tour of SE Asia and it showed, but having said that, our room (superior with bath & shower) had a TV, ensuite bathroom (with fluffy towels), air con and a minibar. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and it was really excellent value for money and I'd stay there again.
