What happened to travelideas.net, bali-hotels.co.uk and thailand-hotels.co.uk?

We have changed our name, the way we operate and even our web site design at the same time! Our original site, travelideas dot net and our two UK mirror sites have been merged into our new site, Travel Ethos dot com.

We did this a) because the mirror sites bali-hotels and thailand-hotels .co.uk were causing our main site duplication problems with the search engines, and b) because the company that operates the sites changed from being a fully fledged commercial site to a charitable direct reservations site. We even changed the company name to Travel Ethos, Ltd., so rather than keep the old reservations site name (travelideas.net AKA Bali / Thailand Hotels & Accommodations Co), we changed that as well.

The format of travelideas still carries on, with direct reservations and guest ratings / feedback; in fact we have enhanced this and now include ethics / legality / environmental data provided by the hotels and villas in Bali and Thailand.

Now, 100% of what we earn from direct reservations when you book via us (directly with the hotels and villas) goes to a children’s charity in either Bali or Thailand. So every time you use this site to book direct, you are helping the needy children of the tropical paradise you are visiting.
