Location: Melati Cottages Hotel is set mongst the rice paddy fields of Bali's "New Artist" town Penestanan. 5 minutes drive to Ubud town centre, or 20 minutes walk. Unlike the central Ubud hotel district, Penestanan is a tranquil rural area with as many ducks as people. From the hotel, you can opt to walk along little paths with stunning views, down to the Blangsuh River Valley. Or stroll into the village itself, which provides a good selection of craft shops and restaurants. 50 minutes drive from Bali International Airport.
