Please note: the prices are directly provided by them but maybe USD equivalents of their actual rates in their local currency. Generally speaking, booking direct with the hotel means you will have no or a reduced deposit to pay, will be able to pay for everything / the balance upon check-out, and will not have to give money to a 3rd party travel / reservations agent.

Wholesale agents: Sometimes you can book the very same room / accommodations for less with a wholesaler. Our prefered partner is Hotel Club as most reservations through them allow you to pay at the hotel upon check out; most other wholesalers require you to pay them in advance which is not so good for you.

Travelethos own comments and observations

Grand Balisani Suites has cheated us and with it our nominated charity in Bali. They guaranteed us the best rates and then renaged on it. First they denied they had given better rates to another (commercial) agent but we showed they had (were lying). When they gave up on that lie they simply said "Oh well, too bad" (put this in context of our being a charity site where anything we earn from them they pay to a children's charity, not us). We pointed out that the former Sales and Marketing Manager had agreed to our terms, but they simply said they had gone and so had their agreement with us. When we said "But your hotel entered into an agreement with us" their new sales and marketing manager from Java Yunita Hi said "What agreement? Send me the signed agreement!" knowing that all of our agreements are done online (hotels agree to our terms on the site as part of the process of signing up and therefore a signed contract does / could not exist and does not need to exist). We have supported Balisani for years and this is how they repay us and act towards good causes. Really, Grand Balisani Suites should be avoided. They have become typical ugly Javanese cheats; nothing Balinese here folks.
