Location: Situated in the grounds of this immensely important, surprisingly tranquil and especially beautiful water palace (Tirta Ayu royal bathing pools), with views of the spring fed swimming pools themselves. Approximately 5 minutes walk (through the palace grounds) to the local town centre / shops, 10 minutes from the coast / Amlapura, 30 minutes from Amed, 90 minutes from Ubud, 2 hours from Bali International Airport, and seemingly a million miles & a millennium away from the "rat race" back home.

Marble Villa: is a 2 storey, marble floored octagonal building, with an upstairs master bedroom plus half bathroom. Also, a living / dining room plus full bathroom downstairs. This villa has an outdoor dining pavilion & Bale Bengong (day bed gazebo) overlooking the gardens & sacred spring.
Lion Villa: has tiled floors, a sleeping loft upstairs with King size bed, living / dining room and full bathroom downstairs.

The following are the lowest (from) villa prices including tax and mandatory service charges. Please note: the prices are directly provided by them but maybe USD equivalents of their actual rates in their local currency. Generally speaking, booking direct with the villa means you will have no or a reduced deposit to pay, will be able to pay for everything / the balance upon check-out, and will not have to give money to a 3rd party travel / reservations agent.

Travelethos own comments and observations
I feel this villa needs defending and deservedly so in light of the comments made by a guest. The two houses sit side-by-side with a small staff area behind. There are not much in the way of grounds, but there is a very good although basic restaurant which serves the water palace grounds as a whole. The beauty of this place is the fact you are right in the old water palace, a truly serene, evocative and even spiritual place. Often you have views across to Lombok. The water palace is now a series of public baths loved by the local children and a really great place to get to meet real Balinese. This really does present a rare opportunity to experience something positively different in Bali. The villa rooms are lovely, albeit a little basic for some perhaps. But when you wake up in the morning and see the views from your first floor windows, I doubt many people will regret having booked here. Just like getting in the public baths it looks over with the locals, just try it!
