Because we do not have a direct reservations agreement with the hotel, we only offer reservations via our chosen wholesale partner Hotel Club for The Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa. The from room price of US$135 per night shown for the hotel on the Nusa Dua / Tanjung Benoa page comes from a wholesaler such as Hotel Club or from a last minute bargain. Other wholesale agents: Sometimes you can book the very same room / accommodations for less with another wholesaler. Although this frequently (not always) means you have to pay that 3rd party agent in advance. We provide the following wholesale agent links (who we believe to be reliable and who we know offer this hotel from time to time). Travelethos own comments and observations
A member of travelideas has stayed at the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and reviewed it as follows;
The Nusa Dua Beach Hotel is without a doubt the worst 5 star hotel I have ever stayed in, and is a testament to both how little the hotel star system reflects quality and how people on package deals feel the need to applaud the risible. We were left in a corridor for ages after checking in and finally the hotel admitted our ocean view deluxe room was unavailable, so we were being upgraded to a suite, which was not a suite but a garden view room (yes, the hotel tried to bluff and lie their way through their own gaff). The staff took our personal belongings including passports for safekeeping but when we returned from a trip out, they were left unattended on the reception desk and we were able to walk away with them unchallenged by (different) reception staff; they also lost our baggage for a while. The restaurant was awful, with a terrible limited choice befitting a low end tour group hotel. All the food, as admitted by the staff, had msg in it, which I am allergic to and therefore could not eat anything but toast, etc. During the horrible buffet breakfast, 3 times I had to get up and ask the staff to bring us a tea and coffee, the last instance being the manager, and we still did not get it. In the end I had to take our cups into the staff area and pour our own. During the day we heard a noise and smelt something really bad through the air-conditioning; they were using anti-mosquito chemical smoke outside the room in the garden and it was coming into our room.
We stayed one night and doubt I could ever be tempted to go back. Subsequently I found out the hotel is part (50%) owned by a member of the Suharto family, so I wouldn’t stay there now anyway. Take my tip, book a real luxury hotel somewhere else, there is nothing luxurious about the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel in Bali. For this reason, travelideas refuses to list this hotel in the luxury section of our site.
